Red hair color, in fact, goes back thousands of years and is still the rarest hair color on the planet.  Our red tones show up much better on lighter colored hair, black hair hardly at all. It also works very well on highlights. If your hair is light brown you can create awesome auburn colors very similar to Christina Hendricks.

Mix Any Color

The wonderful thing is you can mix any of our colors to create even more colors! The possibilities are endless, just remember what matters is what color you start with. The darker your hair the brighter or deeper the red you will need. If you have light-colored hair and want a reddish-brown, then you might want to turn your attention to mahogany. Mahogany is dark brown with red high lights and very close to our dark brown. If you want to dye your hair more of a Julianne Moore copper brown, then you will need copper-top, a darker auburn on medium color hair. If your hair is lighter just mix in some brown for a deeper natural copper-red.

Skin Tone

So many people are bamboozled about skin tone, the fact of the matter is natural hair color does not have a lot to do with the color of your skin, not what makes a woman or man look great anyway. Facial features and the contour is what matter most. Take Emma Stone, for example, she can dye her a medium brown and look just as good as a strawberry blond shade. Emma has the ultimate facial features to get away with any hair color, even black or blonde. We must admit she would be great with just a shower cap on!

 

A great way to decide what color looks best on you is to ask a friend, or use an app that will change the color of your hair to see examples. Some apps are better than others, but one that is good to use is Fabby Look, it is uncomplicated to use and you can see the results quickly. Friends also tell the truth, so many people are told they have great looking hair only because the people looking at them feel sorry for them, giving them false hope that the color they have is awesome!

What Shade is Best For You?

 

We all understand redheads really have more fun, so do not beat yourself up too much on this one!  If you have darker colored hair you have fewer options than the mere blond. But you can certainly give any darker colors a red hue and stand out in the sunshine as the sun lights up the red highlights in your hair. If you have light-colored hair have fun with different shades, starting lighter and working your way up. Just remember it is hard to go lighter without the use of chemicals. If you have brown hair you are limited to natural red, burgundy, deep red, or mahogany.

If you have white hair the sky is the limit! Finally, silvers have the advantage! If you are really brave and have white hair you can shampoo with Grand Pas Pine Soap and then apply strawberry blond to create a rose gold strawberry blond effect. We are seeing more and more women executing the super bright red hair dye and cannot express how terribly bad this is for you and your hair if you are using chemical hair dyes. I see super damaged hair all the time from bright colors and it is amazing that people think it looks great when their hair is frizzed and dried out with split ends.  Think about what you are doing to your hair and your body (not to mention the environment) when using bright chemical hair dyes.

I never knew the severity of it until a customer named Dane called and said the reason he went “natural is that two women he worked with decided to use toxic red on the hair and it killed both of them. I do not know if the story is true, but I can tell you I talk to a lot of people that have gotten sick from using chemical hair dye on a daily basis and it is flat out frightening,  Go natural and spare your hair!  Redheads flat out get more attention, so make sure you are ready to take that on and especially the significant other because you will draw attention in a major way.

No chemicals mean this color will not lighten your current hair color. This color will turn gray/white/silver/blonde hair to a vibrant shade of red/orange, a very “natural redhead” shade. Any darker strand of hair will because very beautiful shades of auburn give a multi-tonal coloring.

100 grams powder is enough to do mid-back length hair one application. The length of your hair will stay this color, only the new hair growth will need to be touched up as it comes in. Typically hair grows about 1/ 4 inch a month.

HAIR APPLICATION:

WASH HAIR TWICE WITH CLARIFYING SHAMPOO, NO CONDITIONER, TOWEL DRY BEFORE APPLICATION. DAMP IS GOOD, DRY IS OK. DO NOT FORGET TO WEAR GLOVES, COVER FLOORS, AND CLOTHES!

• MIX POWDER WITH ENOUGH WARM TAP WATER (ABOUT 1 ¼ CUP TO 1 ½ CUP PER 100 GRAMS) UNTIL YOU GET A PUDDING LIKE CONSISTENCY.

APPLY IMMEDIATELY TO HAIR STARTING FROM THE BACK TO FRONT IN LAYERS, PRESSING PASTE DOWN AS YOU GO ALONG. IF USING A SHOWER CAP AFTER BE SURE TO MAKE HOLES IN THE SHOWER CAP FOR AIR.

LEAVE-IN HAIR FOR 45 MINUTES, NO LONGER THAN 1.5 HOURS AND RINSE UNTIL THE WATER RUNS CLEAR (IF YOU HAVE THICK OR CURLY HAIR YOU CAN USE A CREAM CONDITIONER TO HELP RINSE.). DO NOT SHAMPOO LESS HAIR THAN 18 HOURS OR WAIT MORE THAN 48 HOURS, 24 IS IDEAL.

BEARD APPLICATION:

NOT FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN POOR RESULTS. EARTHDYE IS PERMANENT AND EASY TO APPLY.

• CLEAN FACIAL HAIR/SIDEBURNS GENTLY WITH SHAMPOO USING A TOOTHBRUSH OR BEARD BRUSH TWICE. DO NOT SCRUB HARD AS THIS CAN IRRITATE SKIN! NOT USING A BRUSH WILL NOT REMOVE FACIAL OIL. USE A BRUSH!
• MIX ENOUGH TAP WATER (DO NOT USE DISTILLED OR BOTTLED WATER) TO GET A THICK PUDDING CONSISTENCY (MIX ONLY WHAT YOU NEED AND STORE THE REMAINING POWDER IN A ZIPLOCK BAG IN A COOL DRY PLACE).
• USING A SPOON OR APPLICATION BRUSH APPLY EVENLY TO FACIAL HAIR UNTIL COMPLETELY COVERED. BE SURE TO COVER ALL HAIRS. IF TIPS OF HAIR STICK OUT, THEY WILL NOT BE COLORED LEAVING A PEPPERED EFFECT. LEAVE ON FOR 35-45 MINUTES (NO LONGER THAN 1 HOUR) AND RINSE. YOU CAN SHAMPOO 12 -24 HOURS LATER. NO LONGER THAN 48 HOURS.

TIPS: GRAY OR WHITE HAIR MAY TURN RED/GREEN FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS, DARKENING OVERNIGHT. DYE HAIR EARLY EVENING.

DYE WILL NOT PERMANENTLY STAIN THE FACE OR HAIRLINE. IF DYE IS PRESENT ON THE FACE IT WILL BE GONE IN SEVERAL HOURS.
