As the year is just passing the first quarter, and summer is almost here, one thing that is not changing is the way we look at home. Oh, The Burn!

What is worse than convening on a conference Zoom call, gazing at a monitor when, all of a sudden, your eyes start burning? All you can do is smile and take the burn-in hopes the call is near the end! If you are brave enough to take a swipe, your enduring hope is not to smudge it all over your face. Then you have those that have sensitive eyes and lashes that burn all the time unless it is free of the harsh chemicals found in cheap drugstore mascara and other big box brands.

It Was Tricky

This is the tricky part and this was a major challenge for us here at Infinite Earth Cosmetics. Never in my life did I  know what women went through until I started asking questions and eventually tried it myself for a week. My heart goes out to women (and men) who wear mascara on a regular basis. Not only is it difficult to put on, but try doing it with glasses on!

Effortless Application

After trying more than 10 top brands and 20 others, wow, the burn!! The clumping! The running! Ladies and gentlemen, my hat goes off to you, and boy, do I have an entirely new way of appreciating your beautiful lashes and what I thought was effortless application.   I can’t even imagine what it takes to put on false lashes, and maybe one day we will take that on as well, but for now, it took well over a year to create the absolute best natural mascara money can buy.

One thing is for sure: I am no makeup artist, but as the week went on, I felt I became pretty good at it and got better each day. One thing I did notice is if you missed an eyelash by a small margin, you would get it on your face, and then it was not so easy to get off. I learned the brush was very valuable! I tried so many, some days my eyes burned for hours, and some days it just smudged all over. This was very embarrassing. I had no idea having the correct application brush it would make such a difference. I kept adding to the list of things that are extremely important and must-haves and all equally important.

Extensive Research

When it comes to awesome products, Infinite Earth Cosmetics, LLC takes it very seriously. We just do not plop in a product or go off of anyone’s reviews or testimonials; we use several, and we use them personally over a very long extended amount of time until we find what we are looking for. Producing the best of the best is the only way we do it. Just our natural hair dye alone, we tested over 200 of the identical ingredients grown in different parts of the world. We have been testing mascara for a year now and have tried more than 30, then narrowed it down to 5.

Let’s face it mascara formulas are no easy task in the search for dramatic lashes and keeping it all-natural. To be created and maintained and the ability to keep it consistent is also difficult in the quest for non-burning volumizing mascara.

Who Loves Long Natural Lashes?

In the search for long, beautiful, long lashes, we found ten people, nine women and one man, and gave them five mascaras each, three of which were big box brands, including Clinique Naturals, Marc Jacobs, and Maybelline. We also gave them two Harvest Moon Type one premium and type two  (both with organic ingredients) of our natural favorite mascaras we had chosen.  Each bottle was marked out or taped over, so each person did not know what brand was or who made it. Each was instructed to use one type for three weeks until they had used all 5, then report back which one they loved the most.

 

The results were all the same and unanimous. Harvest Moon Premium Natural was number two, and I was also surprised the less premium was also number two, tying with Clinique in some cases. Clinique was a solid three.  We also looked at covering lash extensions, and some did not work so well. Not only was Harvest Moon Premium, in fact, so loved that some of those who used it first did not want to continue using the other brands.

 

Don’t Judge a Cosmetic by The Cover

 

As a child, I was told not to judge a book by the cover, which turned out to be true on a consistent basis. Infinite Earth has been known not to have the most glamorous packaging!  We like to stay focused on a small footprint, so it will not come in a fancy box or an hourglass-shaped bottle.
